I loved how Jazz and Joey's story developed, how we got to see their special connection unfold and help each other heal. “There’s no hope for us, is there?” he asks. Like my hand is not on his cheek but buried deep in his chest, digging his heart out. He inhales, like it’s the hardest breath he’s ever drawn. His jaw is tight, and I can see the moment when he sees the fall out. Is there enough energy left in the relationship to give them the fuel they need to repair and recommit? And can they resolve traumas in the past? Three years later, they are ready to give love a second chance. I left because when I was with you, I saw my futureīarreling down the road toward me, and I wasn’t ready. Unfortunately, Joey was not ready to invest his heart and go off to college in a committed relationship. This crushed Jazz’s hopes and hurt her feelings. Life was simple and sweet and then came the summer when everything changed!Īfter having sex with him, three years ago, Joey disappeared on Jazz without any explanation and the disappointment was tough to swallow, no doubt. What Jazz didn’t expect was to fall in love with her best friend’s brother, Joey! Joey was more of a sweet ass and I liked his connection with Jazz. They have been through so much together, they tell each other everything. It was exceptionally well written and it sucked me in from the beginning.įalling for best friend’s brother? Jazz and her friend Keri Ann have known each other for years, they are like sisters.

This story was amazing! It was a very powerful and emotional read.
